Starting therapy is a significant step, and it's natural to have questions. Here are some of the most common things people ask as we begin this process together. If you don't see what you're looking for, please reach out. I'm happy to help you feel confident about taking the next step.
Our first session focuses on getting to know each other and beginning the therapeutic work. We’ll review your goals and ensure you feel comfortable as we map out a direction that feels right for you.
Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong foundation. We’ll work together to find a frequency that feels most supportive of your progress.
There is no set timeline. Therapy depends on your unique needs and goals. Some clients work through a specific concern over a shorter period, while others continue longer for ongoing support and growth.
Your privacy and comfort are my priority. If we see each other outside of sessions, I will not approach or acknowledge you first to ensure your confidentiality is protected.
You are welcome to reach out if you have important questions or need to share something for our next session. For urgent concerns, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We can explore what didn't work in the past and find an approach that fits your current goals. Growth and change are always possible.
